Beyond the Oxgrave
Sir: In his sympathetic review (27 October) of A New Canon of English Poetry, edited by Martin Seymour-Smith and me, Anthony Bur- gess suggests that our representation of the neglected American poet Trumbull Stickney war- rants a volume devoted solely to Stickney's poems. Itch a volume, containing a substantial selection of the poems and a long biographical introduc- tion, edited by myself and Sean Haldane, will be published by Messrs Heinemann early in the New Year.
