10 OCTOBER 1846, Page 11
The Globe has an anticipatory sketch of the Revenue Accounts
for the year and quarter ending on the 10th October; which are said to be more satisfactory than those issued in July. The Customs will show, on the quarter, a larger amount than that of any quarter during the last two years, especially than the corresponding quarter of 1845. The Excise will show an increase on the quarter; the Stamps a decrease'; most other items an in- crease. The gross increase on the quarter will be considerable. On the year, the July account showed a decrease of more than a million; in the present account the decrease will be reduced to half that stun.
