The Paris papers of Thursday arc filled with rumours about
the " Mi- nisterial crisis." T hey discredit an apocryphal story that M. Guizot had. had an interview with the King and demanded that Louis Philippe should declare his support of Ministers; and a still more doubtful: rumour, that the Minister had exacted a promise that the King would declare that the disavowal . of .Governor Brunt's deeds in Tahiti was his own act. Ano- ther report, newly circulated, is, that M. Guizot had hinted in the Committee of the Deputies on Wednesday, that a new treaty with En- gland concerning the right of search, and involving some concession to Franc e, was all but concluded.
