The Prince of Wales On Friday, January 8rd, the Prince
of Wales sailed for South Africa to renew the holiday which was broken off by the King's grave illness last year. He will first stay at Cape Town as the guest of Lord Athlone, the Governor-General, and will then go north, through Rhodesia, to Tanganyika. He apparently intends to fly part of the way. It is thought that he will begin his safari in Tanganyika about February 20th. Although his main object is a holiday, such a journey cannot fail to give him an intimate experience of African conditions and African native life which will be invaluable.
