The Town-Council of Hull have rejected Mr. Codd, the Tory
Town- Clerk, as Clerk of the Peace. Mr. Woolley, one of the Li- teral Councillors, has been elected to the office; the mind:era leing- for Mr. Woolley 25. Mr. Codd 12, Mr. Galloway 8. The Mayor of Hull, who was elected as a Libertil, has turned a Tory, and seven or eight ot the Councillors have followed his example. It is believed
