SIR,—One thing emerges very clearly from Mr. Bartlett's letter ; he knows nothing whatever about foxes. A most interesting study. Contrary to general opinion I find this a sentimental age, and sentiment—unlike feeling—never dives very deep. Perhaps it came in with crooning. I think with satisfaction that when I was young any crooner raising his head would have been murdered.—Yours faithfully,
