SIR,—With reference to your article on " Fuss-oats " perhaps the following motto I came across on the other side of the Atlantic might provide some comfort for the species you write of :—" I am an old man and have had many troubles, but most of them never happened."—I am, Sir, &c., "NORTH GATE."
