ACtivill, in Rubber Shares has been the dominant feature during the past week, and on Monday " boom " condi- tions characterized the Market. The prime influence, of course, has been the publication of the Rubber Regulation Plan and the signing of the pact last Monday by several of the governments concerned. Last Monday marked the com- mencement of a new fortnightly account on the Stock Ex- change, and there is little doubt that the extensive buying was largely due to the fact that speculators were anxious to " get in ' at the beginning of the account, with the hope of securing profits, before its close.
