Theagitation against the endowment of Maynooth waxes. In compliance with

a requisition signed by some very respectable firma in the City, the Lord Mayor has appointed a meeting of those "who feel desirous to take part in opposing" the measure, to be held at the London Coffeehouse, on Monday. On the same day is to be held, at Covent Garden Theatre, " an aggregate meeting of Protestants of all denominations, to protest against the endowment of Popeay." 111 an adver- tisement of this day's date, the Central Committee, of which Sir Culling Eardley Smith is Chairman, announce that, anticipating a general election, and the possible passing of the bill this session, they shall take steps to agitate for its repeal next session; but they need funds.

The English Prelates of the Roman Catholic Church, to the number of ten or eleven at present in London, yesterday forwarded to. Sir Robert Peel their united thanks for his conduct on the Maynooth Grant.—Morning Chronicle.

I have learned that several regiments are to be drawn from Ireland during the next month. The Evening Post mentions a rumour that 8,900 troops are to be sent to Canada.—Dublin Correspondent of the Morning Chronicle.
