Si,—The substance of the saying, "Death cannot be an evil because it is universal," may be found in Cicero's "Tusculanw Dispntationes," I. 42: "Nos autem teneamus nt nihil censeamus ease malum quod sit a nature datum omnibus.' 'This is apropos of death.—I am, Sir, &c.,
