The County Court Judge at Ipswich was rightly astonished that

a youth of 18, whom he had before him, had never heard of Almighty God, but when his amaze- ment extended to the fact that the youth " cannot tell me who Almighty God is " I begin to ponder. Armies of theologians and philosophers through the ages haVe written millions of words on this question, and it is not exhausted yet. A satisfying answer from the dock is rather much to expect.
