I wonder how many accidents occur in Great Britain every

year simply because the la* does not 'compel cyclists to carry a rear light. -By 268 votes to 71 the House of Commons agreed to the second reading of Captain Brass'S Bill last Week to compel cyclists to carry rear reflectors. There can be no possible objection to the proposed legislation. Motoring at night is perilous enough ; we have no need to add to its dangers.
