lathe House of Commons on Wednesday, after &flood of questions

about Ireland, and a statement by Mr. Asquith that the Commission to inquire into the revolt would be under the chairmanship of Lord Hardinge, late Viceroy of India, the other members being Mr. Justice Shearman and Sir Mackenzie Chalmers, the discussion of the Military Service Bill was continued. None of the amendments to-limit the operation of the Bill was passed. It is evident that the House of Commons has come to the conclusion that •its proper course is W give the Government what they, ask for—no more and no less.
