Sir: It seems odd that while Marketeers resist any idea

for a referendum about EEC entry — anti-Marketeers and free traders want a referendum to consult the nation and have a clear Yes, or No, as to whether the present proposed terms for joining EEC have the full-earthed consent of the people? Who, indeed, is afraid of the Big Bad Referendum Wolf?
