Muzak off
Sir: Apropos prayer against 'noise persecu- tion' by F. Knox (Letters, 22 September). Asked recently by a most polite waitress at a Crest Hotels restaurant in Southsea if I required anything further with my meal, I glanced at a hole in the ceiling and replied 'just a little peace and quietness if I may'. She straightaway switched off the muzak and I am wondering now if the almighty could and would have responded so promptly.
