The last volume of the Aldine Poets is devoted to
AKENSIDE; an author whose name is perhaps better known to the present generation than his works, although no collection of poetry can be held complete without them. Besides the excellence of Mr. PICKERING'S typography, the distinguishing feature of this new edition is the Life of AKFNSIDE, by the Reverend A. ares ; which is the best we have read, for the biographical information it contains, and the insight it gives into the character of the man. All the published facts have been carefully selected and judiciously arranged, and the biography is enriched by sonic original letters from AKENSIDE to his munificent friend DYSON.
