WHEN A MAN burst into Clarence House last week, shouting
abuse of Tories and Roman Catholics, he was pursued by the sentries who were on duty at the time. I am indebted to a correspondent for what he considers the week's most remarkable saying, reported in the Mail: A War Office spokesman said last night that
the sentries . . . had not been guilty of any irregularity in leaving their posts to chase the intruder.
