A CERTAIN gentleman in Hornsey, blessed with more enterprise than fortune, recently contested no fewer than eight wards in the Municipal Elections. The fates, however, were against him : he failed to triumph in any of them. While sympathizing with him in this misfortune, we cannot curb our wonder as to what system of anatomically proportional representation he would have adopted if he had been returned in all eight localities.
