SIR,—During my one year of Voluntary Service in the Gambia
1 wrote to headquarters in London evera, month. Each of my letters was answered; these wen. not brief acknowledgements with a few general word, of encouragement but thoughtful individual letter, written to me, a person and not a name to whoa circulars are addressed. I was also grateful to re ceive circulars which contained information o general interest to volunteers.
Even if we had not received this treatment I cannot see why Mr. Elliott is so worried. We ma be young but surely not helpless children?
