We have received from Messrs. Stanford copies of three War
Maps which they have just published. No. 1 is a general map of Central and Eastern Europe, including the Franco- German frontier on the west, and stretching as far as St. Petersburg and Constantinople on the east. No. 2 is of the most immediate value, for it gives us the Low Countries on a scale of twelve miles to the inch, and covers the greater part of the present field of operations. No. 3 is a map of France on a scale of thirty miles to the inch. All three maps are excellent specimens of cartography.
