HOUSES AND HOW TO BUY ONE. By Russell Rawlings. (Simpkin.
6d.) THE title describes this useful pamphlet for prospective house owners. As the author truly says, there still exist people who do not own their own houses because " they do not like being in debt," forgetting the simple fact that the only difference between paying rent to a landlord and paying instalments to a building society is that in the latter case the householder is acquiring real property and making his money work for him instead of allowing it to evaporate in rental. We welcome all information which will help people to possess the homes they live in.
