We have written in our first leading article on Mr.
Snowden's opinion of the Labour Party's proposed Surtax. On Tuesday the Parliamentary Labour Party Piet and decided to have the proposal " energetically Put before the country." This may be an indirect rebuke to Mr. Snowden for his lukewarmness. On the other hand, it is said that the meeting was much more in sympathy with Mr. Snowden than had been expected. One remarkable fact must be noted. At the election of the new Executive, Mr. Snowden came out at the head of the poll. * *
