Cottages : How to Arrange and Build Them. By "A
Sanitary Reformer." (Bemrose.)—A useful volume, full of hints and directions which ought to be serviceable to any one about to undertake the task, necessary, though thankless, of cottage-building. The author gives an appendix of more than forty plates, which furnish the reader with elevations and ground-plans of a variety of buildings, ranging in size from a one-storied cottage, to a " villa cottage" which is to be furnished with three sitting-rooms and four bedrooms. All this is very serviceable, but bow much more interesting, if he could have added some, if only the roughest, estimates of the cost !
