Britain had neither made nor contemplated any inter- ference in

the internal affairs of Bulgaria and Jugo-Slavia. The unfortunate part of the situation seems to be that through grave mishandling the Agrarian movement and the Croatian Federalist Party have allowed themselves to be identified with Bolshevism. The present Govern- ments are therefore able to suppress and persecute them under the pretext of fighting Bolshevism. M. Raditch, the Croatian leader, is now under trial- in Belgrade, and many Agrarians in Bulgaria are in custody.
