CASTLE HOWARD
Sm,—My attention has been called to the poem appearing on page 3°6 of your issue of The. Spectator of March zrst The -heading, whirl reads
"CASTLE HOWARD."
Castle Howard, in Yorkshire. where the writer spent much d his childhood, was burned down last November, is incorrect and is calculated to do a gteat deal of harm to the school which was transferred from Scarborough to Castle Howard
in April last year. •
The South-East portion of the building Was severely damaged. Repairs were at once put in hand at great expense, additional actn modation within the building was obtained, and the school reisse_ at Castle Howard on the usual date in January.—Your°bear'
