The, Bank of England rate of discount has been reduced
two, or to 8 per cent., this week. The Bank return is very favourable, and the reserve of notes and coin now stands at 4,610,8661. The stock of bullion amounts to 14,150,9561. At Paris there has been a further accumulation of bullion, the supply held by the Bank of France being 29,300,0001. In several parts of the Continent the value of money has given way.
