be interested to know that an effort is being made by the Girls' Friendly Society to raise the status of domestic service in the way she suggests. Girls are trained for six months on a definite curriculum. They are then examined by a qualified examiner, and those who pass are awarded a certificate. We are hoping to extend this " standardization " of domestics beyond the G.F.S. Further information on the subject may be obtained from Miss Langley, G.F.S.
