Owls and tits
Sir: Your critics (Letters, 4 May) are not young fogeys; they are old poops. But I think the vertical lines should go. They clutter the look of the columns. The right-leaning top titles seem a bit out of sync also.
Otherwise, it's very appealing — espe- cially the cover in colour (4 May): a cheerful reminder that the Spectator is home both to the dignified political owls who inhabit the front and to the charming nest of tits who live in the back pages.
