The marriage of Prince Arthur of Connaught, the only son

of the Duke of Connaught, to the Duchess of Fife, the elder daughter of the late Duke of Fife and the Princess Royal, was celebrated at the Chapel Royal, St. James's, on Wednesday at noon. All the members of the Royal Family of three generations were present, and the King gave away the bride. The presence of so many- distinguished guests, the escorts, and the processions, invested the wedding with ceremonial splendour, but its brightest features were the good-fellowship and happiness of the family party and the goodwill of the people who lined the streets and cheered the bride and bride- groom. Prince Arthur, like his father, has shown a real talent for the ungrudging and tactful discharge of those official duties which help to keep State friendships in good repair. Mr. "Punch" has happily-summed up the view of the man in the street in this week's issue: "We may differ about Ulster, but we're all solid for Connaught."
