The new Irish Solicitor-General, Mr. Serjeant Dowse, has been returned

for Londonderry by a majority of 90,-654 against 564 for Mr. Baxter. From the tone of the Conservative papers, it seems not unlikely that there may be a petition against the return on the ground of intimidation.
