INDIAN SYMPATHY WITH THE JAPANESE.
[TO TILE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."]
SIR,—Concerning your note on Indian sympathy with the Japanese (Spectator, March 12th), may I—as one of the owners of the Times of India, from which you therein quote —point out that you are in error in believing that that journal has a native proprietary ? The proprietors for nearly half a century past have all been English.—I am, Sir, &c., T. J. BENNETT. Bryn (Jregin, Deganlay, North Wales.
[We regret the mistake, and are obliged for our corre- spondent's correction.—ED. Spectator.]
