The Proceedings of the National Rifle Association for the past
year have been published in a neat pamphlet (Waterlow and Sons, 2s.), and show that the Association, now sixty years old, has plenty of vigour and enterprise. The last Bisley meeting was highly successful, and the tour of the British rifle team in Australia and South Africa, which is described at length by the commandant, Colonel Richardson, showed that the Dominions are as keenly interested in good shooting as we are. The British team was beaten in the Empire match at Melbourne in November by Auritralia„ with only 23 points to spare. The Association, like most societies, is passing through a financial crisis ; it needs and fully deserves more support.
