THE ART OF REX WHISTLER
SIR,—In his kindly review of my book, Rex Whistler : His Life and His Drawings, Mr. Derek Hill regrets that my brother's mural paintings were not represented. I must explain that I was invited by my publisher to produce a book of his drawings, and thereby to represent them more fully than would be possible in a book of wider scope. I tried to convey this in the title I chose. I am hoping to reproduce a large number of his paintings in the " more comprehensive book " desired by Mr. Hill, which I am now preparing.—Yours truly,
