On Monday the Judge sitting at the CaUnbridge Assizes was
duly received by the Vice-Chancellor and Heads of Houses, and duly listened to' the 'regulation five minutes sermon by which the 'Opening of the Assizes is habitually preceded. The judge's have strong views on the duration of this discourse. " -If YOU preach for five minutes," one of thein said recentiY to the officiating clergyman; " I shall consider it a- good Sermon ; if you preach for seven minutes I shall still listen ; if you preach for ten minutes I shall commit you for contempt of court."
