The authors show us many types of pretty and enterprising young women, from the engaging window-cleaner Winnie to Daphne the Dispenser and her smart boots. Indeed these cheery rhymes and attractive, cleverly drawn pictures will please both the older and the younger generation as well as the " Fair War Workers " to whom they are dedicated.
