It is with very great regret that we have to

record the death on Thursday morning of Lord Percy, the eldest son of the Duke of Northumberland. Lord Percy had already shown that he possessed in a great degree qualities both of ability and of perseverance. He seemed to have before him a brilliant political future, and his early death is a blow, not only to his personal friends, but to the country to whose service he was devoting his life.
