Sir John Nicholl was installed yesterday as the new Judge of the Admiralty Court, in the room of the late Sir Christopher Robinson.
Sir Edward Barnes the Commander-in- Chief in India is recalled, in consequence of differences with the Governor-General; as also Sir Colin Halkett, commanding at Bombay.
Colonel Campbell has been appointed Diplomatic Agent to the Court of the Viceroy of Egypt ; and Mr. John Thurburn (of the firm of Briggs and Co.), Consul at Alexandria.
