Seorrisn WIDOWS' RESULTS.
The Report for the past year of the Scottish Widows' Fund and Life Assurance Society is a good one, though the net new sums assured of £2,899,759 compare with £8,178,220 a year ago. Claims by death amounted to £1,298,040 and by maturity to £690,929, both amounts including bonus additions. The Premium Income of the year was £1,988,514, the total Income £3,304,488, and the total Outgoings £2,601,374, showing a surplus amounting to £708,114 of Income over Outgoings. Assurance and Annuity Funds at the end of the year amounted to £28,280,176, exclusive of the Reserve Fund of £350,000.
