SIR,—I have been told that there is no memorial to Edward Gibbon Wakefield in the Dominion of New Zealand. Particu- larly at Wellington, where your great contributor died, it would seem appropriate that there should be some tangible expression of the debt that not New Zealand only but the whole Empire owes to his vision and vigour.—I am, Sir, &e.,
