EX-PRISONERS OF WAR [To the Editor of the SPEC-rivroa.]
Sts,—May I venture to ask your readers for help for the numerous ex-prisoners of war, who are sick, poor and in need of clothing. Our funds are lciw, money is much needed, and cheques will be immediately acknowledged if sent to me here, or c/o Lloyds Bank, 399 Oxford Street, W.1, for the many deserving and very poor ex-soldiers on our books.
Also may we beg for greatcoats and boots ? these are most excellent gifts and always welcome in poor homes. All the generous presents of clothing we received during the last year for the men have been very much appreciated.—I am, Sir, &c., . VICTORIA HERBERT. Lady Victoria Herbert's Schenk for British-Ex-prisoners of War, 6 Connaught Square, W.2.
