net.) The story its told by the jingle...driver herself, and the opening quest for cob and• trap is -well drawn, as is the drive home with the newly-acquired " Betty." The theme is a little slender for a full length novel, and the attempts to- realize the psychology Dartrboor are nOt'sufficiently subtle for the earnestness of their presentment. •
