Sta,—The attack on your contributor Mr. Gordon Malet by Dr. Homer in the last issue of the British Medical Journal both in matter and manner is hardly one of which the medical men of this country can feel proud. If the Beveridge scheme depends on the establishment of a State Medical Service, and the British Medical Association intends to oppose it then the only inference is that the welfare of the community is of secondary consideration to that of Dr. Homer and his Council.
