The "late G. A. ADDISON, Esq.," was a collateral descendant
of the ADDISON: he was born in 179'2, became private Secre- tary to Sir STAMFORD RAFFLES, and died in 1815. It would also seem that he conducted or projected a periodical called the Bengal Monfushel Miscellany : and the articles prepared for or published in a few numbers are now sent forth in a goodly octavo, under the title of Indian Reminiscences. Transporting ourselves to India, and throwing back the mind to 1815, the papers, though sometimes juvenile and matterless, may be said not to be without merit. But neither now nor at any other time were they worthy of republication in England.
