Blackpool snobs
Sir: I had formulated a suggestion for a SPECTATOR Competition : A prize for the best brief sentence setting out the most appropriate punishment to be meted out to Mr Bernardette Levlin for his lower middle class snobbery at the ex- pense of Blackpool and its holiday makers. But I was pipped at the post in your issue today by June Blanc: Sentence him to be re- incarnated as a Blackpool chair attendant.
Now, there's a punishment that fits the crime! Mark Haymon 1 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London wc2
