"ST. ANDREWS MEDICAL DEGREES FOR, WOMEN. Cro TRIO EDITOR OP
TER " SPECTATOR:1 SIX—With reference to the letter from the Dean of the -Edinburgh School of Medicine for Women, which recently appeared in your columns, allow me to point out that the privilege of graduation in the University of St. Andrews is not confined to the students of that school: The teachers of the Medical College for Women, Edin- burgh, have been recognised as "lecturers specially ap- pointed" under the recent Ordinance of the Universities -Commissioners. The Medical College for Women. Edinburgh, is therefore just as much a part of Si. Andrews University as is the Edinburgh School of Medicine for Women.
When we take into account the fact that the students of the "School" get their clinical instruction in Leith Hospital, whereas the students of the " College " ootain theirs in the -Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, it is apparent that on the whole the Medical College for Women affords to its students more complete facilities for a thorough medical training than the Edinburgh School of Medicine for Women can pretend to do.—I am, Sir, &c., ALEX. T. HUNTER, Clerk and Treasurer.
