From Mr Patrick Oakley Sir: Kirsten Sellars identifies yet another honeypot for lawyers (`How to make a killing out of human rights', 8 April).

While I was in transit through Los Ange- les airport recently, the following announcement was made over the public address system at ten-minute intervals: `You are not obliged to give money to solicitors.'

I think that we should all adopt this slogan!
