SIR, — We are writing a biography of Sir Ernest

Henry Shackleton (1874-1922). The Antarctic explorer's family has kindly given us access to all relevant papers in their posses- sion, many of them unpublished.

We are most anxious to get in touch with all who knew Shackleton, particularly those who shared his business enterprises, as well as those who explored with him.
