Britain and South Africa
Sue,—I was glad to have Mr Crozier's compliments in his letter about Britain and South Africa. I do assure him, however, that the views expressed in the book are entirely my own, though 'based on the arguments which took place among the mem- bers of the seminar' at Chatham House. Mrs Higgins, a member of the study group, was of im- mense help in clarifying the legal complexities of the issues of apartheid and the South West Africa case before the International Court. I am (I hope) courteous to Mrs Higgins, but not in the sense of yielding to her prejudices, for she is the least prejudiced of scholars, and not a bit 'conventional' in her wisdom.
