the figures of the two twins, Ruby and Marie, specially

well drawn. At the same time, it is not quite to our taste. We fear

that the children will find some parts, at least, of it somewhat hard to understand. And then we must own that we like a story to be either all of real life or all of fairyland. Nevertheless, The Children of the Castle can scarcely fail to please, especially with the additional attraction of Mr. Crane's designs.
