The brilliant progress of the Prince of Wales in Canada
has been shadowed by the conduct of the Orange faction in Upper Canada. They desired to make the Prince pass under Orange arches in an Orange procession. Nothing more unseemly could
have been devised. By the advice of the Duke pf Newpastle, the Prince refused: to submit lie would not, tbereforre, land at Kingston: But the leaders of the Orange mob pursued from place to place, and were .only defeated at Toronto .by Sing too late. This is one of the most disgraceful attempts ever made by a faction in its dotage.
